The United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps (Sea Cadets) is the Navy’s youth development program.
We give young Americans skills, knowledge, and confidence through an amazing variety of training opportunities. Sea Cadets wear uniforms, work as teams in a disciplined environment, and adhere to our core values of honor, respect, commitment, and service.
We build Leaders of Character.
Our leadership team of prior service and non-prior-service adult volunteers brings a wealth of knowledge to the training of Cadets. Cadets learn leadership, seamanship, customs and courtesies, how to work in teams … and have fun!

Sea Cadets is for children aged 10-13 (League Cadet Program) and 13-18 (Sea Cadet Program). In the Northern Neck, we drill in Dahlgren at the Chapel Annex at Naval Support Facility South Potomac. We drill two Saturdays a month, 0800-1630.
“We must dare to be great; and we must realize that greatness is the fruit of toil and sacrifice and high courage.”
— Theodore Roosevelt
